How to Measure Your Trousers or Pants

  1. Waist Measurement

Stand straight, relax, and measure around your natural waist. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

  2. Hip Measurement (Optional)

Measure the widest part of your hips with feet together. Tape should be parallel to the floor.

  3. Inseam (Inside Leg)

Measure from the crotch seam down to the ankle. This gives the inside leg length.

  4. Outseam (Outside Leg)

Measure from the top of the waistband down to the ankle. This gives the full length.

  5. Leg Opening

Lay trousers flat and measure across the bottom of one leg. Determines slim, straight, or wide fit.

  6. Front Rise

Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband at the front. Ensures comfort in the front.

  7. Back Rise

Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband at the back. Ensures proper coverage and fit.
